IMSO Pipeline
A clear, abuse-resistant workflow from upload to permanent, citable records — with optional free DOI via Zenodo.
End-to-end steps
1) Submit
Upload primary PDF and metadata (title, abstract, authors, org, keywords). Categories cover EX/RS/PM/BM/ED/EQ/PP/CS.
2) Verify Identity
ORCID + institutional email check. Partner domains are fast-tracked. Prevents impersonation and spam.
3) Scan & Validate
Virus scan, PDF/A conversion, JSON-schema metadata validation, basic reference checks.
4) Duplicate & Similarity
Content hashing and fuzzy matching flag near-duplicates/plagiarism before IDs are minted.
5) Ethics / Compliance
If human/clinical data: consent + IRB/IEC IDs; auto-prompts for anonymization where needed.
6) Mint ID (and DOI)
IMSO ID is assigned; if requested, we push a mirrored copy to Zenodo and return a DOI.
7) Publish
Public record page with citation, badges (ORCID/Ethics/Dataset), version history and checksums.
8) Preserve
Long-term storage on the MMSx vault, immutable versions, routine fixity checks.
9) Evolve
New versions keep the same root ID with a version suffix; previous versions remain accessible.

Is IMSO free?
Yes. IMSO IDs are free. If you opt in, we’ll also mirror to Zenodo for a free DOI.
Can I update my record?
Yes. Upload a new version; the root ID stays the same, and older versions remain accessible.
What files do you accept?
Primary PDF (PDF/A preferred). Supplemental: PNG/JPG/SVG, CSV/JSON, and ZIP packages.
What prevents misuse?
Identity checks, spam honeypots, file scanning, duplicate/similarity checks, and policy/ethics review.
